Pressure Auxiliary Unit Set Up
The pressure auxiliary unit collects data from pressure sensors, typically built into Neware fixtures. To include these pressure readings in your test profile, ensure that CAN communication is properly configured in the BTS 8.0 software.
Here is an example demonstrating the software setup with the 5V100mA tester (BTS-4008Q-5V100mA).
1. Hardware Connection
1.1 Ethernet wire connection

Connect the tester unit(s) to the control unit.
Connect the pressure auxiliary unit and the control unit to an Ethernet switch.
Connect the Ethernet switch to the PC.
1.2 Pressure sensor wire connection

Insert the wires into the auxiliary pressure unit as shown in the figure
2. Controller unit setting
2.1 Set the configuration to 【Manual】

Go to line 2 【Configuration】and set it to【Manual】.
2.2 Check IP addresses

Scroll down to line 4 【LP】, line 6【GW】, and line 7【SP】.
Verify that all three IP addresses share the same first three segments as the pressure auxiliary unit (e.g., 192.168.1.xxx). The IP address of the pressure auxiliary unit can be found on the label attached to the device.
3. Ethernet setting
3.1 Set up Ethernet IP address

【Settings】 >【 Network & Internet】 >【 Advance network settings】

Find the ethernet block, expand hidden options, select 【more adapter options】.

Double-click on the TCP/IPv4 setting.
Select the second option and enter the IP address manually. Ensure the first three segments match the pressure auxiliary unit, and set the final segment to 250.
4. CAN mapping
4.1 CAN configuration

In a web browser, enter the IP address of the Pressure Auxiliary Unit (e.g. 192.168.1.152).
This address is usually found on the device’s label.
On the web interface, locate and note the Message No. value, as you will need it later during the software setup.
Set the Pack Format to Voltage-Pressure.
Input the IP address of the controll unit (e.g. 192.168.1.196).
Input the port number as 18001.
4.2. BTS configuration

Within System Settings, access the Right-click menu function section.
From there, find the setting for “Auxiliary channels CAN Communication sampling point mapping” and apply the changes by clicking Save.

Right-click the channel and select “Auxiliary channels CAN communication sampling point mapping” from the context menu

In the mapping interface, select the channel number, right-click, and choose 【Custom CAN】— 【1】.
Here, the value 【1】refers back to the Message No. Value on the CAN interface.

For each pressure auxiliary channel connected to your setup, assign it to the corresponding test channel number in the mapping.
5. DBC configuration
5.1 Load DBC file

Right-click on the relevant test channel, choose the 【Single Start(s)】 function.
In the work step interface, select 【DBC edit】, and insert below .dbc file to the directory.
DBC file: 8Pressure

Select all rows in the file and apply.
6. View data

If the setup is successful, you will be able to view the pressure data, which will be displayed as P[channel_number].
